In 2015 Kevin retired from a 26 year RCMP career in rural law enforcement with specialized training in crime scene forensics. His service as a member of the RCMP included duties as the Unit Commander of the Yorkton Forensic Identification Section and acting Manager of "F" Division Forensic Identification Services.
Hailing from a mixed grain /beef farm near Roblin, Manitoba, and with a continued presence in agriculture throughout his law enforcement career, Kevin saw remarkable similarities between Precision Agriculture and crime scene forensics. The image capture, enhancement and analysis techniques used by forensic imaging specialists were frequently compatible with and complimentary to precision agriculture. In 2017 Kevin founded SAIRS, a knowledge and experienced based company with a deep appreciation for the potential of imagery in agriculture.
